Raymond Slavin, MD

Director, Division of Allergy and Immunology Saint Louis University School of Medicine

Ray Slavin is Professor of Internal Medicine and Director of Allergy and Immunology at Saint Louis University School of Medicine. He is past president of the American Academy of Allergy Asthma and Immunolgy. He founded the local chapter of the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America. An endowed professorship in allergy and immunology, named for Dr. Raymond Slavin and his wife, Alberta, was established at Saint Louis University in May 2008. In addition, Dr. Slavin is known worldwide for his research on allergies and asthma.

Major interests relative to ForeSee Health are education of asthmatic patients to both the diagnosis and warning signs of increasing severity of asthma, with a view to decreasing ER visits and hospitalization. In addition, he is dedicated to making it possible for asthmatics to lead as normal a life as possible including full participation at school and at work.
